Privacy Policy

The Road Diet Recovery Club is a satirical project based in Victoria, British Columbia. This page explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect and what we do with it. We have tried to write it the way we would want to read it.

What we collect

• If you buy a sticker: checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email, shipping address and payment details. We never see or store your card number. We receive your name, shipping address, email and which design you ordered, so we can mail it to you.
• If you join the newsletter: your email address.
• If you submit a sticker idea: whatever you type in the form — your idea, and optionally a location, a name or initials for credit, and an email address.

What we do with it

• Order information is used to send you the sticker you paid for.
• Email addresses are used to send the newsletter, and to reply to you. Nothing else.
• Sticker ideas may be printed. If you give a name or initials, we may credit you publicly. If you would rather we did not, say so in the form.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site. We do not use cookies for tracking.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored on our web host's servers in the United States, and order data is held by Stripe. By submitting a form you consent to that transfer. Under Canadian and US law, information stored in the US can in some circumstances be accessed by US authorities.

Unsubscribing and deletion

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — use the contact form and we will action it. Under PIPEDA you have the right to access and correct your personal information.

Consent

We only email people who asked to hear from us. We do not add buyers to the newsletter automatically.
